The little designer that could.....

Within the fashion industry the name Olivier Theyskens brings about images of couture worthy flowing chiffon dresses in floral prints and Tron-like accessories. Making his name at Rochas, Theyskens was let go after health and beauty giant, P&G, no longer saw it necessary to continue the line. Theyskens then took the helm at Nina Ricci but left after the Puig Group which owns Ricci, re-structured thus ending Theyskens contract a season earlier than expected. Fast forward to this past Valentine's Day when Theyskens debuted his first collection for filler fashion brand Theory. Ironically after holding tenure at two very chic and very traditionally feminine fashion houses, Theyskens showed a collection that was very pant heavy and designed to wear. Word is that customers ate up the first Spring arrival at Bloomingdale's so look for it soon at a Neiman's near you.
